World Beat – Techno – Trance
Focusing all their compositions around the didgeridoo, the Montreal based instrumental quintet Apadoorai blends folk, world, afro-groove and techno influences to create a unique sound: their own vision of didgeridoo music. Listeners will experience a kind of acoustic groove and techno music that immediately carries them in a swirl of drum & didgeridoo grooves where guitar and mandolin lines are woven into the sweet and exotic melodies of a variety of wind instruments.
Their album Kinda Roots was released in 2010. The Kinda Roots show was presented at the Rideau showcase (Quebec’s main showcase) in February 2010. Since then, they have offered many shows all over the province of Quebec and at Global Grooves Festival in Toronto.
