Maintaining the authenticity of Persian classical music while using the latest musical techniques has been Vesal Ensemble’s most significant aspiration. Since its inception in 2000 the group has created some of the most refreshing and uplifting music ever produced in this genre.
The ensemble was founded and directed by composer, instrumentalist and vocalist, Arjang Seyfizadeh, to introduce advanced approaches to Persian classical music, as well as to traditional Kurdish, Lori and Azeri music. Of the group’s ambitions, Seyfizadeh states, “We want to show the world the extraordinary potential of Iranian music”. The group has earned its reputation in this genre with a host of talented and committed musicians ever developing their technique and craft.
Vesal Ensemble has performed and recorded in numerous countries around the world. With each performance, the group continues to raise the bar in the performance of this rich tradition of classical and folk music from Iran.
