Described as 'healing, meditative, playful and joyful', Drone Doctor's musical meditations fuse influences of the East and West in a creative blend of free-flowing drones with a rhythmic blues/rock sensibility. In addition to John Timmins on banjo, accordionist Jaro Czerwinec, Daniela Gassi on viola and Francesca Milne on double bass, this special concert, entitled The Beauty of the Drums, features guests Sricamalan Pathmanathan on tabla and Bhrapa Bhrapakaran playing dholak. Their previous sessions have won praise from a diverse range of listeners who have come away musically refreshed and invigorated by their brand of therapy.
