Created by courageous Polish ladies and fronted by singer Ewelina Ferenc, Polky Village Band is not your typical "polka band," it's an authentic and energetic Polish-Canadian folk music group. By adding a uniquely Canadian, multicultural flavour, the band brings their own original sound to traditional forms.

Started in 2017 the band came together through a shared passion for the unique and enigmatic style of Central and Eastern European folk music. They perform folk songs and dances they learned while growing up back home, and now they share them with incredible Canadian musicians & friends they acquired in Toronto!

Polky Village Band takes you on a musical journey to Poland, the melting pot of Eastern and Central Europe, where you can hear Carpathian, Jewish, Gypsy, Ukrainian, Slovak and Hungarian influences.

Polky Village Band has performed at Danforth Music Hall, opening for Lemon Bucket Orkestra and Boogát, Aga Khan Museum, at Polish and Ukrainian Festivals, Summerfolk Festival, Ashkenaz Festival, the Folk Ontario Conference and more!

They recently released their newest EP "Immigration," inspired by immigration to Canada, Polish traditional music from the Mazovia region, Polish mountains, and Led Zeppelin.
