World Fiddle Day Concert – Featuring Kousha Nakhaei & Amely Zhou
Part of World Fiddle Day Toronto and the 15th Annual Small World Asian Music Series sponsored by TD Bank.
Small World Music brings two of Toronto’s finest culture-crossing string players, Kousha Nakhaei and Amely Zhou to the stage. They will perform with other guests in culmination of the World Fiddle Day celebrations at the Aga Khan Museum.
Kousha is a kamancheh player whose interest in interdisciplinary creation has led to collaborations with artists including Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble and Loreena McKennitt.
Amely plays erhu with the Toronto Chinese Orchestra and co-founded the fusion group Spire, exploring both Eastern and Western music.
