CENTAVRVS - Fri, July 15 @ 9:30pm
CENTAVRVS is a Mexican regional electronic music project. Nominated for a Best Alternative Music Album Latin Grammy 2015, the band mixes sounds and rhythms from Mexico and Latin America with electronic beats. Their live shows, full of energy, celebrate the Latino cultural identity, leading to collaborations with artists such as Los Ángeles Azules, Carla Morrison, Maldita Vecindad, Ely Guerra, Bomba Estéreo, among others. With two EPs and one album, CENTAVRVS has quickly become a musical reference to what Mexico sounds like today.


Mamselle - Sat, July 16 @ 8:00pm
From the age of five, Mamselle was already singing as a soloist in church choirs. Following a three-year programme in operatic technique at the Escuela Libre de Música de México, she went on to specialize in jazz at the Escuela Superior de Música de México. For the next two years, she studied the speech level singing technique (founded by Seth Riggs) with Alejandro Campero, followed by master classes with Dean Bowman (vocalist for the Screaming Headless Torsos) and Bobby McFerrin. Since her arrival in Quebec in 2009, Mamselle has been well received as a rising talent. She released her first album, Maíz, in 2012 and has continuously toured Canada and Mexico since.



Astrid Hadad - Sat, July 16 @ 9:30pm
Astrid Hadad, a trained actress and singer, graduated from Centro Universitario de Teatro in Mexico City and embarked first on an acting and singing career spanning the extremes of Mexican TV soaps and an all­-female production of Mozart's opera Don Giovanni. She has published numerous CDs, contributed soundtracks to several movies, and her work has been documented in a number of TV productions. Hadad attracts mixed, devoted and passionate audiences, old and young, straight and queer, post­modern Latin­kitsch lovers, and serious admirer of popular Mexican music.
