Launched in early 2016, the Aga Khan's World Music Series continues this season with rhythms and sounds rooted in the 20th and 21st centuries. Venture into Central Asia and South-eastern Europe as we welcome back throat-singer Radik Tyulyush, and introduce a Turkish trio that thrives on improvisation.

Look and listen as three like-minded souls mix, mingle, and merge into one sublime performance! Featuring three of Turkey’s most in-demand master instrumentalists, the Taksim Trio features Hüsnü Senlendirici on the clarinet, Ismail Tunçbilek on the bağlama, and Aytaç Dogan on the qanun. Hear as inventive improvisations, or taksims, dance between different musical styles that draw from oriental, jazz, and classical music traditions.
