We always knew that the return of the great Goran Bregović with his Wedding & Funeral Band was going to create a buzz, but we’re thrilled to see the show at Massey Hall sell out in advance! There are literally a handful of tickets left for the party on March 4th, and a limited number of post-concert VIP meet and greet packages where you can meet the artist and receive a signed CD and poster, as well as an official tour T-shirt. The party doesn’t stop with the end of the Balkan extravaganza – it’s also the first Saturday of the month and that means Globetrotter! An extra special one in fact, with a dual anniversary party, as we celebrate our 1st year while our decor partners Calabra celebrate their 3rd anniversary! It features one of the most adventurous global electronic producers in the scene, THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE, along with local groove master SYNAPPS and resident ethnomixologist MEDICINEMAN bookend the dance floor festivities.
Looking further down the road, our Asian Music Series launches April 1st and continues through May. We look forward to telling you more soon. April also brings the return of the one-and-only legend of Desert Blues, as Tinariwen comes to town after… a seven-year absence! Where does the time go?
