Surefire Sweat is made up of a diverse and multi-generational roster of Toronto-based artists. The music, composed by Juno-nominated drummer, Larry Graves, is original and draws on an amalgam of Funk, Jazz, Brass Band, Blues and Afrobeat. The all-star cast of musicians interacts with improvisational explorations and danceable arrangements. In this age of electronic dance music and digital wizardry, Surefire Sweat forges ahead with an old-school music-making approach. Memorable melodic hooks and toe-tapping rhythms as the band sweats it out on drums, percussion, guitars and various horns. Sometimes they even sing!
