Toronto-based singer songwriter Jean-Baptiste Fojeba has developed an original guitar style. Rooted in folk and traditional African music, with pop and jazz influences, Fojeba's repertoire is made up of various music styles including makossa, ngwa, zouk and Afro-pop, with lyrics in Bamiléké, Lingala, French and English.
Fojeba was born in the western province of Cameroon. Exiled to the Netherlands in 1996, he founded his own band called "Sunshine Band" in 1999, with whom he released a CD entitled "Paix et Prosperité Pour Tous."

There are thousands of people who have been displaced within Cameroon, and also in Nigeria. Many are simply hiding in the bush and living in the forest. Proceeds will be donated to the AYAH Foundation.
