Hamza Akram is currently only 26 years of age, but holds within a sea of talent. He was born in Karachi Pakistan on 1st July 1992 to his luck into a family already blessed with the goods and greats of music. If we climb Hamza’s family tree, we would come across his ancestors Mian Saamat Bin Ibrahim was the first Qawwal of Subcontinent and first student of Hazrat Ameer Khusro (inventor) Hamza is the 26th generation this world known ‘Qawwal Bachon ka Delhi Gharana’. Hamza akram and brothers are an emerging artist of the country who has had several years of touring experience, they have successfully toured Uk, USA, UAE, Denmark, Norway, Bahrain etc.

This Gharana has produced many Ustaads like the late Ustad Tanras Khan, court musician and tutor in classical music of Bahadur Shah zafar. Hamza learnt Indian Classical music by the legendary Ustad Naseeruddin Saami, who is a renowned legend of the Delhi Gharana. Performing live is another art, and the base to performing arts. Hamza learnt skills of performing Qawwali from Ustad Fareed Ayaz Qawwal. According to Hamza he has power of the most different style in teaching performing skills. He teaches a lot while the performances too. Like the proper pronunciations of Persian, Urdu, Arabic and Punjabi poetry along with their meanings. He also teaches them to sing every single world correctly without crossing the boundaries of melody. Like any other great musician, Hamza is extremely honored of being the student of his teachers, for they have been a great support to him. Unlike many youngsters Hamza did not have to face family issues in his career. They in fact showed him great support at every step of the way. He specifically thanks his father for always being there and bringing him up in the Gharana.
