January the 14th, marks ‘Old New Year’, the first day of the year for the Eastern Orthodox Church on the Julian calendar. It’s a great chance to celebrate with music and we’ve got some of the city’s finest to mark the date. 'Marczyk Family and Friends' features Mark and Marichka Marczyk, whose various projects include Balaklava Blues, Counting Sheep and the Lemon Bucket Orkestra. Their quintet will bring the sounds of Ukraine and beyond for a rousing set.
