FREE EVENT
Led by young Bagdad-born singer Tara Moneka, Dijlah is a band of women exploring the rich traditions of Arabic and North African music and songs expressing the challenges and triumphs of women and their need for rights. In 2014, Tara was featured on a popular pan-Arab talent show, launching her career. But the young singer was forced to flee the country as a refugee, after receiving threats from militiamen against her for performing in public.
Experience the great food vendors and drinks. Enjoy the patio life, invite your friends and catch FREE performances in the heart of the city between June 27th and August 28th!
