The Fourth Edition of Culturas 360° with Nastasia Y

Presented in partnership with Culturas 360°

Small World Music comes together with 14 festivals worldwide to present the fourth edition of CULTURAS 360° taking place March 4th - 5th, 2023.

CULTURAS 360° is an annual international collaborative online project for artistic showcases from around the world. Across two days every year, artists from countries far and wide will celebrate the rich diversity of cultures and music, the magic that unites everyone, wherever they are.

Beyond a virtual celebration of music, CULTURAS 360° promotes a global initiative to reach diverse artistic content to audiences on the five continents, develop new audiences for the arts, and new opportunities for artists. A collective of curators and culture professionals committed to change and social transformation, have joined hands to present this independent platform of music festivals that nurture cultural diversity and solidarity between peoples.

We are so excited to present Nastasia Y from Toronto, Canada on Saturday March 3rd.

Nastasia Y (formerly known as Stacey Y) is a Ukrainian-born Canadian world fusion artist. This multilingual singer & keyboardist integrates Eastern European folk music with contemporary jazz arrangements, electronic textures and other musical influences from around the world.

Nastasia is that rare artist who seamlessly blends folk tradition with futuristic ideas – inspiring listeners to hold on to their roots while embracing the modern world. Nastasia’s most recent release is the ambient, trippy electronic EP ‘III’, which combines Slavic folk influences with electronic production, modular synthesis and experimental audio processing.

Nastasia currently resides in Toronto, Canada, where she is working on her next solo album with KC Roberts (guitar), Marito Marques (drums), Anh Phung (flute), Dan Minchom (bass) and the JUNO Award-winning co-producer Justin Gray. This album is a culmination of all her influences – from R&B to jazz – mixing Ukrainian with English and other Slavic languages, and exploring the raw human emotions of love and war.
