As previously mentioned, the Toronto Jazz Festival takes over Yorkville and surroundings starting next week. I’ll be introducing some of our good friends over the course of the fest, including Autorickshaw and Filo Machado on the 25th and 29th and Jorge Miguel on Canada Day, so if you’re in the area of the stage, say ‘hi’!
Next Monday at the Phoenix the festival presents 21st Century Swing with Caravan Palace, and it so happens that our favourite dance floor animateur, DJ medicineman will lay down the electro-swing groove to start the night off. We have a pair of FREE tickets for this superb party! The first response to jess@smallworldmusic.com that correctly identifies the band’s city of origin can dance the night away!
