Join us September 16th through 18th at Fort York Garrison Common, for a FREE, family-friendly community celebration of music, dance, craft, food and more!
Some of the participating artists include International names like hypnotic French-Venezuelan singer La Chica, Argentina’s Tanghetto with their neo-tango sound, and the rousing spiritualism of Fareed Ayaz & Abu Muhammad Qawwali from Pakistan.
The festival's two stages will feature the best in genre-busting and culture-crossing sounds, celebrating Canada's ever-evolving musical landscape. From Toronto, Montreal and beyond, they’ll include Funk Lion, Moneka Arabic Jazz, Pantayo, Shauit, Joyce N’Sana, Clerel, Hawa B and many more.
There will be buskers and marching bands and we’re delighted to have a roster of partners including Fort York National Historic Site, Toronto History Museums, FabCollab, Uma Nota Culture, the 50/50 Performing Arts Collective, Tkaronto Music Festival, Wavelength Music, Art Spin, Link Music, Aga Khan Museum and many more.

Where is the festival being held?
The Small World Music Festival is being held in the historic grounds of Fort York and Garrison Common in downtown Toronto. 100 Garrison Rd, Toronto, ON M5V 3K9.
How do I get there?

Is the festival site fully accessible?
The festival site is accessible, but note that it is comprised of grass and packed gravel surface, which may present challenges to those using mobility aids.
Garrison Common is accessible via Garrison Rd, as well as a path that runs from the Bentway to the west gate of Fort York, and from the north via Garrison Crossing Bridge. See map for more info.

Is the Small World Music Festival open to all ages?
The Small World Music Festival is open to, and welcoming of, audiences of all ages. There will be family-friendly activities, as well as a beer garden open only to those 19 years of age and older.
Can I bring my dog?
The SWMFest is a pet-friendly event. Please be considerate, and leash your dogs, and be aware of the folks around you
What’s to eat/drink?
We’ll have a selection of vendors who will be offering a variety of food and beverages for purchase. We highly recommend that you bring your own water for the day.
Can I donate to Small World Music, the non-profit charity organization producing the Small World Music Festival? How?
Volunteers will be onsite at the Festival ready to take your donations. You can also donate today!
Will there be alcohol?
The site will include a beer garden where alcoholic beverages will be sold. No alcohol consumption is allowed outside of the beer garden area.
What is the festival site’s WC situation?
The festival will provide classic festivalian washroom facilities (aka Port-O-Potties), including an accessible option. Accessible washrooms and changing stations are available inside the Fort York Visitor Centre 11am to 5pm daily.
What payment forms should I expect onsite for food, drink, and other items?
Small World Music is unable to receive cash payments. Please prepare by bringing debit and/or credit cards.
What if it rains?
We’ll get wet! The Small World Music Festival will take place rain or shine. Please check the forecast before attending so you can prepare to be comfortable.
What time do things kick off and close down each day?
The festival site is open at the following times:

There is no wifi at the festival site
Any COVID procedures we should know about?
Proof of vaccination is no longer required for events in Ontario. Small World Music will continue to work with public health authorities to ensure our policies are in accordance with the latest public health guidance in Ontario. We encourage masking and physical distancing, and those that are feeling ill should stay home, to reduce the risk of transmission. Precautions may be added or modified as we continue to monitor the situation.
Audiences recognize that, regardless of guidelines and/or precautions in place, the risk of COVID-19 transmission exists at the Small World Music Festival, and audiences should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend. By joining us, audiences voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and confirm that they will adhere to local quarantine mandates and requirements, available at the Ontario government website.
