About the artist:
An expressive and dynamic figure on stage, Canadian Chinese musician, conductor, composer, and erhu soloist, Amely Zhou, frequently collaborates with different organizations including University of Toronto, Harbourfront Centre, Chinese Culture Centre, Canadian Music Centre Small World Music, and more. In addition to being an adjudicator of Non-Western Strings categories for Kiwanis, the largest music festival in GTA, in 2018 and 2020, she is currently the Artistic Director of the Canadian Chinese Orchestra and the Music Director of the Ontario Multicultural Music Association.

Zhou was scheduled to lead Borderless: The Asian Music Ensemble, a quintet representing musical traditions from Syria, Korea, China, and Japan, as part of Small World Music’s Asian Music Series, sponsored by TD Bank Group.
