Autorickshaw Celebrates 15 Years with Two Shows!
Thursday September 28th AND Friday September 29th.
Toronto’s twice Juno-nominated, Indo-fusion ensemble Autorickshaw continues their 2017 concert season - celebrating 15 years of music-making - with a CD release concert on September 28th and 29th, 2017 at Small World Music Centre.
Tickets: $20 general, $15 artists/students/underemployed or $30/$25 with CD
"Meter," their 5th album, unleashes original compositions, fiery world-fusion, and unique spins on cover songs, all informed by Autorickshaw's 15 years touring and traveling around the world. Autorickshaw’s fusion comes from their roots in north and south Indian classical music combined with their upbringing in culturally-diverse Toronto. From the ancient temples and folk roots across north and south India, to the song- and-dance fantasy-land of Bollywood, to fiery original compositions and innovative covers, one will experience an impressive and expressive journey from the traditional to the modern via Autorickshaw.
Dylan Bell (voice, bass, guitar, keyboards, beatboxing, loopstation)
Ed Hanley (tabla, percussion, voice)
Suba Sankaran (voice, keyboards)
