In November 26th, 2016, the Circle Music Band will play at the Small World Music Center in Toronto to celebrate its 5th anniversary. The band will perform a selection of all three albums and some new compositions from the 4th album.
The Circle Music Band is an Iranian / Canadian music group based in Toronto, founded in 2011. Their music style is a unique combination of Persian classical and contemporary poetry with Jazz, Acoustic Rock and Middle Eastern music.
The Circle Music Band is led by the singer, songwriter and guitar player Shahab Baradaran, accompanied with Saman Shahi (Keyboards and Tar), Reza Moghaddas (Bass), Peter Lutek (wind instruments), Steve Farrugia (Drums), in addition to guest musicians and the band manager Ahmad (Amir) Shahroodi.
Circle Band released their third album called "My Enigma" on November 28th, 2015 after three years of production. A new approach to arrangements and production with the contribution and collaboration of all the musicians who were involved in this production.
After releasing the album, the Circle Music Band performed it at the Small World Music Center located at #180 Shaw St, Toronto. This was the starting point of a Ontario-wide tour for album release by performing at Waterloo at the Waterloo University, Kitchener at the Registry Theatre, the national capital at the University of Ottawa at Alumni Auditorium. Upon returning to Toronto, the band performed at the Lunchtime Live! at the Yonge-Dundas square On Monday June 13th, 2016 (the event organized by the Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall) and at Omid Foundation Gala on October 2016. Circle Music Band will celebrate its 5th anniversary on November 26th, 2016 (albums review) at the Small World Music Center before starting their 2017 Canada tour.
