DroneDoctor brings healing sounds to Small World Music Centre!
DroneDoctor introduces a full seven-piece line up to Small World Music Centre Feb. 28
For the first time DroneDoctor’s original music will feature seven musicians in their invigorating 45-minute music mediation, Sunday night. No stranger to the Small World stage DroneDoctor fuses the influences of the East and West in their creative use of a free-flowing Indian drone style, with a cool blues/rock sensibility.
DroneDoctor’s original music has been described as “healing, meditative,” as well as “playful and joyful.” Their invigorating 45-minute music mediations fuse the influence of the West in their choice of instruments – banjo, accordion, bass recorder, double bass, tabla and dholak -- and the influence of the East in the creative use of a free-flowing Indian drone style, with a cool blues/rock sensibility.
“Playing a rare room like the Small World Music Centre where the subtleties of our music can be heard effortlessly by the audience is a dream come true for us.”
Tickets are PWYC at the door.
