Riyaz Institute in association with Small World Music present 5th Annual Riyaz Music Festival: A Tribute to Pandit Shivkumar Sharma.

An evening of captivating santoor music by Pt. Shivkumar Sharma's senior most disciple, Dhananjay Daithankar. In 1981 Daithankar finally fulfilled his lifelong dream to study with Santoor maestro Pt. Shivkumar Sharma He was fortunate to have shared the stage with his mentor and guru Pt. Shivkumar Sharma several times. Over the past three decades, Dhananjay has performed at prominent festivals throughout the world, including in India, the US, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and the Middle East.

Jasmeet Chana has been studying under the legendary Ustad Sukhvinder Singh Pinky of the Punjab and Banaras Gharana. Jasmeet has studied both tabla and jori in depth for over 10 years now, in the traditional guru-shishya system. Jasmeet has toured extensively throughout North America, United Kingdom, and India and currently lives in Brampton, Ontario where he also passes on his knowledge to his students.
