Building upon his successful monthly Symphronica residency at Lula Lounge, pianist Ron Davis (deemed by Jazz.FM91 to be ‘one of the great minds in jazz’) collaborates with visionary taiko drumming group Nagata Shachu. While rooted in the folk drumming traditions of Japan, Nagata Shachu’s principal aim is to rejuvenate this ancient art form by producing innovative and exciting music to create a new voice for the taiko. This unique concert promises to do just that!
