Step into SARĀB’s realm where oriental melodies and worlds collide with western rhythm and harmonies, creating a musical trance.
With its unique blend of Arabic music, jazz, and rock, SARĀB is one of the leading groups of the Paris music scene—their sound weaves traditional Middle Eastern lyrics with enchanting melodies.
The five-piece band crafts music that's rooted in jazz improvisation and storytelling, blending the rich traditions of Middle Eastern music with contemporary and Western influences. SARĀB draws on verses from a Syrian poet, Maram al Masri, whose work explores themes of love, culture, and exile.
About the band:
What began as a duo between Franco-Syrian vocalist Climène Zarkan and guitarist Baptiste Ferrandis, SARĀB–meaning mirage in Arabic– evolved into a five-piece ensemble that defies genres and borders. Together, the ensemble weaves a unique soundscape, blending contemporary jazz, rock, and traditional Arabic melodies.
The band:
Climène Zarkan - Vocals
Thibault Gomez - Keys and vocals
Baptiste Ferrandis - Guitar and vocals
Timothée Robert, - Bass and vocals
Paul Berne - Drums and vocals
An evening with SARĀB promises a truly unique musical experience you won’t want to miss.
Doors open at 7:30 PM
