FREE EVENT
Bantü Salsa is a collective of 7 musicians from different origins (Quebec, Mali, Cameroon, Mexico, Spain, Ecuador, Cuba). It is a musical encounter between Latin American and African cultures that was born in Montreal in 2019. Through their music, they tell the African origins of salsa that African slaves brought to South America during the four centuries of the slave trade, their music mixed with that of the American Indians and then with that of the Spanish settlers and the Portuguese who deported them, and this is what produces the salsa that we all know today.
Special thanks to the Bureau de Québec à Toronto for their support to promote the artists and this event.
Experience the great food vendors and drinks. Enjoy the patio life, invite your friends and catch FREE performances in the heart of the city between July 2nd and August 27th!
