Amami Island Folk Songs – Tsugaru Shamisen – Taiko Drumming Collaboration

A trio of top Japanese performers in inspiring evening of traditional songs of Amami Island, Tsugaru shamisen of Aomori prefecture and the thunderous taiko drum, to create a musical evocation of the Japanese spirit. Anna Sato (island folk song), Chie Hanawa (Tsugaru shamisen) and Keita Kanazashi (taiko) have joined forces to bring these instruments and sounds to new levels and new audiences.
