Born in Kinshasa, at the age of 15, Blandine's family moved to Toronto, where she caught the attention of many musical personalities who helped her develop her singing skills. While in university she auditioned for competitions like Canadian Idol and Star Academy (in Montréal). Her command of Congolese rumba merges with her love of R&B and soul for a stirring and danceable sound.
