So Long Seven is a Canadian band that performs acoustic world music that draws from a variety of traditions. The band of 4 musicians consists of Neil Hendry (guitar), William Lamoureux (violin), Ravi Naimpally (tabla) and Tim Posgate (banjo). Their self-titled debut recording draws from a variety of traditions including folk, rock, blues, and Hindustani music. The eclectic nature of the music reflects the band’s passion for pushing musical boundaries. Their dynamic live performances can move seamlessly from driving grooves to chamber music, taking audiences on an exciting journey.
The debut CD released in 2016 at Toronto’s Hugh’s Room and has met with enthusiastic reviews. So Long Seven is now in pre-production for their next CD, due to come out in 2017.
