in/future – one week away + ticket giveaway!

As we get closer to the launch of the in/future art and music festival at Ontario Place, there’s a furious level of activity for our partners Art Spin, the artists installing their work, the crews preparing the West Island site and the many puzzle pieces that are coming together. It’s a hugely ambitious undertaking and we’re proud to be part of it.

We’ll be bringing the party to the festival with over forty-five acts on the Small World Stage presented by Exodus Travels. In addition to the stage, music will permeate the site. We’re excited to announce the participation of MUTEK, Montreal’s internationally renowned electronic / experimental music festival. Four presentations will combine live electronics with video on screen in the Cinesphere. Should be amazing!

Elsewhere on the island, sounds and sights will be everywhere – including the Boom Bike, a one-of-a-kind sound system on wheels that will cycle around the festival bringing the groove of some of the city’s finest DJs, including General Eclectic and medicineman with it. Or how about Haphazard Hinges? Twenty marching saxophonists creating mountains of sound in the futuristic architecture of the park.

BaBa ZuLa – Istanbul’s pioneers of psychedelic dub
Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra – Montreal’s spectacular mashup of Latin and Balkan beats
Bruce Pennisula – A rousing potpourri of prog, gospel, folk, rock and country
DOOMSQUAD – Indie-rockers who continue to gain serious buzz
